Once you decide to use me as your doula we will have at least one (two if time permits) prenatal meetings to get to know one another and go over your ideal birth plan.  You can call me any time with questions or concerns.  Once you go into labor you can call me and we will decide together when it is best for me to join you.  I will stay with you throughout your labor helping you with physical comfort and emotional support.  Then I will remain with you for one to two hours after the birth.  At this time I can help make sure baby is latching well and breastfeeding has started smoothly.  A week or two after the baby is born I will come to check on you and see how things are going.  If you have any questions about breastfeeding, how you are feeling, or need any help at all, I will be glad to assist you in any way I can.  I will also provide a copy of your birth story to tuck away in a baby book.
